  • The Calming Edge is currently a private pay (cash-only) practice. We do not bill insurance directly at this time. Payment is due at the time of service.

We accept all major credit cards, debit card payments and ACH transfers.

We are in the process of credentialing through Headway and will update this page when in-network options become available.

We recommend checking with your insurance carrier about out-of-network benefits in the meantime.

  • Depending on your insurance plan, you may be eligible for partial reimbursement for out-of-network psychiatric services.

Upon request, we can provide you with a superbill which is an itemized receipt with the diagnostic and procedure codes your insurer requires.

Contact your insurance carrier directly to ask about your out-of-network mental health benefits before your first appointment.

  • Integrative psychiatry combines conventional psychiatric care, including evaluation and medication management, with evidence-based complementary approaches that address the whole person: mind, body, and lifestyle. Rather than focusing solely on symptom reduction, integrative psychiatry explores the underlying biological, psychological, and environmental factors that contribute to mental health. This may include attention to nutrition, sleep, stress, genetics, and overall wellness alongside traditional treatment.

  • We require at least 24 business hours' notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Please note that weekends do not count as business days — for example, an appointment scheduled for Monday must be canceled by the same time on Friday.

Cancellations made with less than 24 business hours' notice will be charged a late cancellation fee equal to 75% of the scheduled appointment fee. This fee is not billable to insurance and is the patient's responsibility.

We understand that life happens — please reach out as early as possible if you need to make a change.

  • Simply fill out the contact form on our Contact page. We will follow up within 2 business days to answer any questions and schedule your initial intake appointment.
